Howard P Bad Hand is a wise, compassionate, peace-loving, Lakota elder who has been holding sacred ceremonies and sharing sacred songs for over 7 decades. He embodies these sacred ways of balance and shares them with great humour, humility and clarity.
In his autobiographic book, “Native American Healing, a Lakota Ritual” Howard reflects upon seminal moments, many of which he learned from his elders. These initiations formed his particular style of spiritual practice – he is known as a Singer, which is another way of saying Healer.
From this rich well of experiencing, Howard gifts us with teachings to support us on our path to learn to live in balance and embody peace at the deepest levels we possibly can.
Following the guidance given in a vision, Howard has been the Intercessor for the International Sundance for Peace and has been holding this 8 day ceremony each year for the last 13 years. In his inimitable way, he says, “Peace, someone has got to do it.”
For these 8 days, as a community, people purify with sweat lodges, singing sacred songs invoking spirit for healing and then dancing their prayers in specific rounds and intentions while being part of a caring community of people committed to healing and consciousness.
Although many of us may not be able to travel and be part of that particular 8 day ceremony, through online tech we can meet Howard and be blessed by his singing and teachings. These teachings are too good to miss!

The format of the course:
TEACHING: We will have 6 weeks of classes via Zoom where Howard shares some teaching as guided by his healing spirit, Eagle Thunder.
JOURNEY WORK: After Howard shares, you will then be given an intention to journey and explore the teaching taking it to your own healing spirit for further deepening.
“TIOSPAYE” SHARING IN BREAKOUT ROOM: After the journeying, you go into breakout rooms to share with another person or others to integrate your experience and be in community.
QUESTION TIME WITH HOWARD: We come back into circle and you will have the chance to write in or ask questions for Howard to answer.
WEEKLY INTEGRATION PRACTICE: We have a weekly reflection email, “Homework” where you review what happened in the class or possibly be suggested a practical ceremony or ritual of the week. You may also respond to that email asking any questions that arise.
PRIVATE COMMUNITY WEBSITE FOR CALL REPLAY and COMMENTS: All calls are uploaded to a private website where you will have access to the call (2 days later) whether or not you can be on the live call. You can also leave comments or questions there too.
WEEKLY REMINDER EMAIL with ZOOM LINK:
Each week, you are sent a reminder email with the link for the call.

December: 7, 21 (NO MEETING ON 14th as Howard is travelling)
Time for each Call: 12pm MST - 2pm EST - 7pm GMT Each call will be up to 2 hours, please be aware we will be in 'shamanic time'.
